The Palacio de La Moncloa situation is becoming increasingly complicated for Pedro Sánchez. Following the acceptance of Hazte Oír’s lawsuit over the software case, the Prime Minister’s wife, Begoña Gómez, will appear again before the judge on December 18th.
The judicial case investigating Begoña Gómez, wife of Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, takes a new step forward thanks to the lawsuit filed by Hazte Oír. After she attempts to avoid the judicial summons scheduled for November 18th, citing her presence at the G20 in Brazil, Gómez will now appear before the judge the following month, on December 18th. It is important to note that the aforementioned trip was not included in any official agenda, as Begoña Gómez does not hold a diplomatic or official position as first lady.
The dates
Begoña Gómez will travel to Brazil on November 18th, initially scheduled for her to appear in court to collect a lawsuit, but she will not do so. Hazte Oír will also be present in Brazil. Additionally, on November 21st, a court official will formally deliver the lawsuit filed by Hazte Oír in the Software case to the Moncloa Palace, ensuring that the defendant cannot evade receipt of the legal complaint.
Finally, on December 18th, the wife of the Prime Minister of Spain will again appear before the judge following the filing of two new charges (misappropriation of funds and professional intrusion) and the two previous charges (corruption in business and influence peddling). Hazte Oír will continue its work of monitoring and supporting legal measures that ensure transparency and justice in this case.
Begoña Gómez’s case in the spotlight
The lawsuit is causing significant discomfort for Gómez and Pedro Sánchez, demonstrating the impact of Hazte Oír’s efforts. The case, expected to be brief, is dragging on, causing further issues for the couple.
